Officer Mooney was born and raised in Alaska. He attended the University of Alaska, Anchorage where he pursued a Degree in Criminal Justice with a Minor in Russian Language. During his time there he was a member with the Mat-Su Police Explorer Program. He designed their uniform patch and reached the ranks of Lieutenant and Captain. Officer Mooney also served as Vice President for the Anchorage Police Explorers. In 2004 he graduated from the Tanana Valley Police Academy and was immediately chosen to serve the City of Wasilla as a Police Reserve Officer. In 2005 Officer Mooney was employed as a Police Officer by the City of Houston where he remained until being hired by the City of Palmer in August 2005.
Daniel Potter served for 6 years in the Army as a military police officer. During that time, he performed law enforcement duties for about 3 years. He began as a Reserve Officer for Palmer Police in 2015, and began full time in 2016. Daniel is a graduate of the University of Alaska Community Technical College Law Enforcement Academy, Fairbanks, Alaska, 2016 and currently serves the department as a patrol officer and Taser Instructor.
