Starting June 14th and continuing through the summer the City of Palmer and engineers from HDL will be surveying and mapping the components of Palmer’s water and wastewater system. Some of the valves and manholes that are being mapped are buried and will have to be unearthed to ensure that the location data is accurate, so you may see utility workers digging in utility easements, right of ways, and on the road. These personnel will be driving City or HDL vehicles and will be wearing hi-vis clothing while completing the work. As many of our utility easements are in alleyways between streets you may notice these individuals near your back yards. They will happily explain who they are and what they are doing should you ask.
