Official Notice: EPA-Mandated Lead Service Line Inventory

Step by step instructions

The City of Palmer wishes to address ongoing inquiries and slight confusion regarding the mandatory Lead Service Line Inventory, as required by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This comprehensive inventory aims to ensure the safety and reliability of our water supply system.

In accordance with EPA and State of Alaska directives, we kindly request the cooperation of all utility customers within the City of Palmer. Your participation is crucial, as it allows us to accurately inventory each water line with minimal disruption to you. To assist in this effort, the City has distributed informational flyers, provided by the State of Alaska, outlining how residents and businesses can contribute effectively to the inventory.

Should there be a lack of response or assistance in providing the necessary information, a designated City employee will be required to conduct an in-person inspection of the premises. This step is essential to fulfill the inventory requirements and ensure the accuracy of our records.

We encourage all our valued customers to support this initiative by responding promptly to our request. Should you have any questions or require further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact the Public Works Department at (907) 745-3400.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping the City of Palmer adhere to these important regulatory requirements.

Thank you.
