Parks & Recreation Advisory Board
The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board is composed of seven members who serve three-year staggered terms and are nominated by the Mayor and confirmed by the Council. Residency requirements vary for this Board.
Meetings
The Board meets quarterly on the first Thursday at 6:00 p.m. (unless noticed otherwise) in the Palmer City Hall Council Chambers located at 231 W. Evergreen Avenue (use the Cobb Street entrance).

PRAB Purpose
The purpose of the City of Palmer Parks and Recreation Advisory Board is to:
- Develop, support, and advise the City Council on all matters pertaining to city parks, recreation, and cultural programs and projects;
- Provide input and recommendations on issues relating to the placement of memorials and plaques on city property; and
- Provide input on the annual budget for city parks, recreation, and cultural programs and projects.
