Officer Larimer grew up in Wasilla and attended Wasilla High School, class of 2012. Upon graduation he began his career in the emergency services by joining the Alaska Air National Guard where he has completed two deployments to the Middle East and currently serves as an Assistant Fire Chief. He continued his career by joining the Palmer Fire Department and Mat-Su Central EMS as a Firefighter/EMT. Then pursued a career in law enforcement by working at the Anchorage Jail as a Correctional Officer in 2015 before being hired as a Police Officer with the City of Fairbanks in 2016. While there he was awarded a Police Medal for Valor (2017), Exemplary Fire Responder Award (2017), and Exemplary Service Medal (2020). In addition to his duties as a Patrol Officer, he served as a Field Training Officer, SWAT team member, and K9 Officer with his partner K9 Diesel. Officer Larimer and K9 Diesel joined the Palmer Police Department in April of 2020. He is currently pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science with UAA.
K9 Diesel is a four-year-old Dutch Shepherd, imported from Holland who serves as a Dual-Purpose Patrol K9. He is trained in searching for the odor of controlled substances to include cocaine, heroin, and methamphetamine. He is also trained to bark and detain, track, and apprehend suspects.
Officer Markos grew up in South Florida. He served ten years in the United States Army after graduating from High School. In 2013 he started his career in law enforcement when he was hired by the Alaska State Troopers where he stayed for four years. Officer Markos was then hired by the Palmer Police Department in 2017.
