Officer Larimer grew up in Wasilla and attended Wasilla High School, class of 2012. Upon graduation he began his career in the emergency services by joining the Alaska Air National Guard where he has completed two deployments to the Middle East and currently serves as an Assistant Fire Chief. He continued his career by joining the Palmer Fire Department and Mat-Su Central EMS as a Firefighter/EMT. Then pursued a career in law enforcement by working at the Anchorage Jail as a Correctional Officer in 2015 before being hired as a Police Officer with the City of Fairbanks in 2016. While there he was awarded a Police Medal for Valor (2017), Exemplary Fire Responder Award (2017), and Exemplary Service Medal (2020). In addition to his duties as a Patrol Officer, he served as a Field Training Officer, SWAT team member, and as a K9 Officer with his partner K9 Diesel. Officer Larimer and K9 Diesel joined the Palmer Police Department in April of 2020. He is currently pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science with UAA.
